Laboratory Officer, DNA Profiling Lab (3-Year Contract)

As a member of the Biology Division, you will support ongoing research projects and/or routine casework examinations in our laboratory.

• Participate in lab improvement/research projects, and assist in developing/ validating new technologies/ methods.
• Conduct examination for biological fluids using chemical and serological tests, and conduct DNA analysis of crime samples.
• Undertaking any other duties as assigned by Laboratory Director and Scientists.

Job Requirements

• Background in a Biology/Biomedical Science /Biotechnology (or equivalent)
• Successfully completed supervised laboratory research project in biochemistry/ molecular biology area.
• Prior laboratory resesearch experience in molecular DNA field would be desirable.
• Proficient in data analytic skill will be an advantage (e.g. macro, R script, RPA, Tableau)

The successful candidate would be offered a 1-year contract at the first instance, with option to renew for a futher 2 years.
