Our Modelling team is growing to deliver a wave of exciting change across IWR Finance. This new leadership role will strengthen our capacity to deliver complex actuarial modelling projects, partner closely with business stakeholders, and support high-quality, well-controlled model change.
About the team
You will join the Modelling area within IWR Finance, working directly with the Head of Actuarial Development and collaborating day-to-day with senior peers across the function. We work across UK, Poland and India, combining deep actuarial expertise with modern engineering and disciplined delivery.
What will you be doing?
Lead multi-disciplinary modelling squads (UK, Poland, India) to deliver high-impact change across valuation, capital and reporting models.
Set modelling approach and standards, ensuring robustness, reproducibility and appropriate controls (documentation, testing, governance).
Own the roadmap and backlog for priority initiatives; translate business goals into clear deliverables and success measures.
Partner with diverse stakeholders across Finance, Change and Technology; communicate complex ideas simply and influence decisions.
Coach and develop people, creating a supportive, inclusive environment where teams do their best work.
What are we looking for?
Deep knowledge of actuarial modelling, with hands-on experience leading model development and change.
Proven leadership of teams across geographies (e.g., UK, Poland, India) and suppliers/partners.
Ability to shape direction and deliver through others—prioritising, planning and removing blockers.
Strong stakeholder skills: you listen, challenge constructively, and explain complex modelling concepts in plain language.
A continuous-improvement mindset with high standards on controls, documentation and testing.
Familiarity with modern tooling and practices in model engineering (e.g., version control, automated testing, peer review).
Nice to have (useful but not essential)
