The Sr. Manager, Strategic Planning is responsible for providing support for the office of the EVP of Global Multinational (GMN) clients. The ideal candidate would have a strong balance of analytical skills, financial acumen, business knowledge in the Travel and/or Tech space and have a track record of leading projects across large organizations. The Sr. Manager will help drive business goals of the organization while working closely with the Director, Strategic Planning and the GMN Senior Leadership Team. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding thought leadership, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills, and will have a consistent track record of effectively operating independently and within a hard-working team.
It is important that anyone considering this role is flexible and adaptable as well as comfortable with ambiguity. They will occasionally need to be able to operate under tight deadlines or timelines, handle multiple deliverables and react to changing needs. They will need to demonstrate both the ‘big picture’ critical thinking as well as the ‘attention to detail’ of tactical execution. The Senior Manager will also need to demonstrate integrity, confidence, discretion, and executive presence to interact with Senior Leaders across the organization. The successful candidate is highly organized, anticipatory and a detailed-oriented individual with strong leadership, influencing & collaboration skills.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with Senior Leadership Team to achieve business goals and targets.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of key business drivers, industry trends and the competitive edge of clients.
- Provide strategic thought leadership with an ability to “connect the dots” and get results while working under minimal direction.
- Demonstrate the ability to influence senior leaders and achieve results through others.
- Work well under pressure, be flexible and balance multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to lead and drive change.
- Possess excellent communication skills – especially written where it is critical to be able to synthesize information and data and then communicate it concisely in presentations
- Be analytical in nature with strong financial competence and organizational skills
- Have strong integrity and be able to handle projects of sensitive and confidential nature
- Possess the ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationship with key internal collaborators across geographies/locations and to use those through collaboration and partnership to get results.
- Identify and encourage the sharing of standard methodologies across teams and locations
- Have a strong executive presence and be comfortable navigating and representing the organization in a professional and engaging manner.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years consulting, data analyst, client management, sales, and/or related work experience required.
- Experience inspiring change with senior leadership.
- Consistent record of creating strategic vision, build action plans, set goals.
- Innovative and creative approach with strong attention to detail
- Ability to grasp new concepts quickly, process data and make relevant connections to business implications
- Strong financial and eye for business with an analytical approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and present sophisticated ideas in a simple and compelling way to a wide variety of audiences.
- Proven project management skills
- Travel industry experience is desired but not required.
Location
New York, United States
The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
