PURPOSE OF THE JOB 

The Senior Manufacturing Analyst is a key role within Doors Manufacturing Finance, focused on strengthening internal controls awareness, capability, and compliance across the Doors Manufacturing network. This role partners closely with finance and operations leaders, plant teams, Internal Audit, Internal Controls, and other business partners to help ensure controls are practical, effective, and embedded in day-to-day operations. The position is well-suited for a proactive, curious, and collaborative finance professional who is comfortable working independently, influencing across functions, and leading medium to large projects. Qualified candidates will bring at least 5 years of accounting, finance, internal audit, or controls experience, preferably within a multi-national organization.

Reports to: This position reports to the Doors Manufacturing Finance Leader

Span of Control:  Individual Contributor 

  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Lead the ongoing assessment of the control environment across Doors plants, helping ensure internal controls are effective, efficient, and aligned to business needs. 

  • Evaluate internal controls to assess performance, confirm controls are operating as intended, and recommend practical improvements as business needs evolve. 

  • Develop a strong understanding of key internal audit findings, control gaps, and opportunities to strengthen the control environment. 

  • Perform analytical work to understand root cause of control exceptions and assess the potential impact to the control environment. 

  • Support data analytics initiatives that provide insight, identify trends, and strengthen the overall control environment. 

  • Identify and share best practices across plants and functions to drive consistency and continuous improvement. 

 

  1. Promote internal controls awareness, knowledge, compliance, and excellence across the business to help mitigate operational and financial risk. 

  • Partner closely with Doors plants to implement, improve, and sustain controls, including supporting remediation efforts when needed. 

  • Support new controllers during onboarding by helping plants through transitions and providing ongoing internal controls education. 

  • Lead internal controls education and reinforcement in recently deployed SAP plants. 

  • Monitor non-SAP plants to help ensure an appropriate internal controls environment is in place. 

  • Build strong relationships with subject matter experts in Finance, Accounting, Audit, and Operations to ensure changes to internal controls over financial reporting address risks efficiently and effectively. 

  • Drive timely issue resolution, including root-cause assessment and follow-through on corrective actions. 

  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams focused on internal and external audit results, process improvement, and control excellence. 

 

  1. Drive a robust Management Representation Letter process that provides assurance and visibility to the health of the internal control environment. 

  • Manage and consolidate plant responses to support a complete and timely process. 

  • Ensure outstanding items are tracked, escalated when appropriate, and resolved in a timely manner.
