As a Senior .NET Software Engineer, you will be responsible for participating in the analysis, design, development, implementation, maintenance, and automatization of critical business processes for Abarca and its internal and external clients. You will work to automate processes that allow for the exchange of data to both external and internal stakeholders.
The fundamentals for the job…
- Design and develop complex mission critical real-time API services.
- Understand business requirements and develop system flow diagrams.
- Evaluate existing and emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve solution quality, scalability, and performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, process flows, and system interfaces.
- Ensure development code quality by implementing automated unit testing.
- Provide technical support in the development and deployment of complex backend processes and APIs.
- Define product requirements for creating high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems and services.
- Lead the way in the classification and documentation of development best practices, processes, and methodologies
- Develop scalable maintainable designs that support loosely coupled enterprise components and foster reuse of software.
- Make high-level design choices and dictate technical standards, including software coding, tools, and platforms.
- Create, define, and choose application frameworks for new applications.
- Identify paths from existing to future software architectures.
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application development best practices.
- Research, investigate, and stay at the forefront of technology (Software Development, Hardware, Programming Languages, etc.).
- Understand Business and Client needs to create optimal software and technology solutions to address those needs.
What you’re made of
The bold requirements…
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (In lieu of a degree, equivalent relevant experience may be considered).
- 6+ years of experience in Software Development or Software Architecture.
- 5+ years of experience with SQL Server, Database Design, and Stored Procedures.
- Experience with architecture principles and best practices, including software design patterns, service-oriented architecture, microservices, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with infrastructure design and cloud-native solutions, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with security best practices, identity management, and compliance standards (HIPAA).
- Experience guiding development teams in applying SOLID principles.
- Experience with Agile Software Development and/or Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, XP, Lean, etc.)
- Experience with SDLC, CI/CD principles and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Azure Resource Manager templates).
- Experience in developing secure, scalable, and highly available Rest API services.
- Experience in Web Applications using Angular/React.
- Experience with Object‐Oriented Design Patterns.
- Experience in computer programming using .NET Core, VB .Net / C#, JavaScript, VB Script, HTML and XML – XSLT.
- Experience with Microsoft’s .Net Framework.
- Experience with Azure Service Bus, Azure Function Apps, Web Services, API Gateway, System Architecture, Mission Critical Web application development.
- Strong SQL Server skills - Performance Tuning, Stored Procs, Database design, Automated Unit Testing, AKS, Cloud Infrastructure, ADO, DevOps
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with solution architecture and design.

- This position requires availability to work in a specified time zone or working schedule, accommodating the business needs of our clients and team members.
- This position may require availability for on-call hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to promptly address emergent issues or provide necessary support as dictated by operational demands (if applicable).
