Service Intern/Student (High School) - Summer

This position is an entry-level Shop Service Intern Technician for Summer 2024. The internship will be under the guidance of an experienced Shop Service Supervisor. The intern’s primary purpose is to learn and develop as a technician and receive on-the-job training (OJT). The hours of the position are Monday-Friday, 7 am to 4 pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Required company-instructed classroom courses
2. Maintain safety training and procedures
3. Receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback from Service Leadership

On-the-job training curriculum may include: 

• Perform maintenance
• Help install, repair, and replace mechanical and electronic components
• Clean and/or lubricate machines
• Examine and test equipment, components, and parts to ensure the proper functioning
• Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand or power tools
• Adjust, maintain, and repair equipment and machine components
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• The candidate will be working in inclement environments.

Qualifications

• Must be a current High School student
• Must be enrolled and in good standing in a technical program.
