Senior Android Engineer

Our startup client develops off-grid communications technology (software + solar-powered hardware) for Adventurers, Firefighters, DoD, Rescue Operations, and more. They currently need a Senior Android Engineer to join their team and help scale their product. This is an exciting opportunity for an established Mobile Developer to build new cutting-edge software and join a company that already has a lot of momentum. Android experts with Kotlin expertise and SDK + device experience (custom hardware, satellite technology, Bluetooth, sensors, etc.) are highly preferred.

We are currently considering candidates based in San Francisco, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. - hybrid remote opportunity, on-site 2-3 days a week.

An ideal candidate will have the following:

• 8 years Android/Kotlin background
• Experience bringing new features from concept to shipped product
• Background with SDK, IoT, hardware devices, Bluetooth
• Successful history launching apps in a startup environment
• Strong communication skills
• Collaborative mindset
