• Work with the Level artists and Cinematics team to create compelling lighting for a variety of characters and environments while maintaining a consistent style.
• Work with Lead Artist to ensure creative requirements of all the levels are met.
• Work with Art and Design to create compelling and dramatic lighting scenarios for gameplay.
• Maintain a balance between visual quality and performance requirements.
• Establish Lighting standards, templates, documentation to maintain visual and technical quality across the project.
• Collaborate with Materials team to enhance realistic surfaces and environments with Lighting.
• Troubleshooting art and technical lighting issues that arise.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a lighting artist in games or film.
• Proven understanding of lighting fundamentals, mood, composition, color theory, space, material, and light.
• Demonstrated understanding of contemporary lighting and surfacing rendering techniques, including physically based rendering tools, exposure settings, shaders, and materials.
• Demonstrated experience in technical understanding of Game engines, preferably Unreal Engine.
• Demonstrated communication skills, work ethic and robust interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Proven track record of success in technical problem-solving skills.
• Portfolio of lighting experience showcasing a beautiful mix of artistic and technical skills.
• Proficient with post-process toolsets to enhance the visuals.
• Demonstrated experience to receive feedback and implement changes in a productive and accountable manner.

$149,000/year to $205,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
