Position Details:

Summary of Duties:

Evaluate equipment operations problems and emergencies in buildings on campuses having multiple buildings which are non-contiguous; take appropriate action to return equipment to its normal operating condition; monitor building systems operations to ensure their normal functioning. 

Required Qualifications:

• Four years of journey-level experience in one or more skilled trades, including experience in heating and air-conditioning systems, mechanical and electrical systems. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

• Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in at least one form of CCMS systems including Siemens Insight, Siemens Desigo or Alerton Compass software packages.

• Demonstrated experience using all types of power tools & equipment utilized in troubleshooting & maintenance of electrical, mechanical, environmental & structural systems & equipment.

• Four (4) years of journey level experience in HVAC, Electrical or Mechanical trade.

• Demonstrated computer software skills, including the ability to use office software, such as databases, spreadsheets, word processing.
