Interprets engineering SW designs and utilizes appropriate software, tools and diagnostic utilities to verify software for sequence, functionality, and standards compliance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ability to adapt existing code bases in a variety of programming languages.  Experience with integrated systems.  Understanding of logic structures and syntax

• Document and recognize how software is related to program software and systems. Maintain and organize software licensing and project files

• Evaluates, generates, and implements problem-solving solutions. For both programming and administrative tasks

• Develops realistic work plans, sets goals, coordinates with team, and executes plan within a timely manner.  Manages time well and completes all goals within the given timeframe

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas and information clearly. Has the ability to adapt style, listens to and values different opinions

• Troubleshoot and problem solve core service and support challenges while applying best practices for documentation, change management, and scripting. Support basic IT infrastructure and networking

• Complies with and applies Lab safety policies

• Able to execute and create documented procedures

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

• Expert with Coding Languages such as: C/C++, Python, Java, or other comparable languages. Educational and professional experience 5-10 yrs

• Expert with file management systems such as Subversion, GIT, BitBucket/SourceTree… Can support as an Information Steward and file structure

• Contains one or more IT Certification such as CompTIA Net+, Sec+, etc. OR very knowledgeable about Networking, IT and OS troubleshooting & security

• Professional skill and knowledge of Windows OS and Office 365 Tools like: Outlook, Excel, Word

• Familiar with connecting hardware and software systems, testing software, networking, and knowledge of electronic concepts

• Advanced user with Linux and Shell scripting

• Extensive knowledge of Defense Contracting work

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
