The Impact You Will Make in this Role

As a Sr Quality Test Engineer, you will be part of a team of engineers responsible for designing, testing and commercializing software and electronic products and systems for the safety industry.  You will work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, identify and resolve issues, and ensure that our software and electronic safety products meet the highest standards of quality.  In this role, you will be aligned with digital growth programs and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for new and existing software and electronic safety products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Conduct manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure functionality, performance, and security.
• Track and report on testing progress, defect metrics, and overall quality status to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Coordinate work of external resources and vendors where appropriate.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in software testing and quality assurance.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, candidates must have the following qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified before start)
• Seven (7) years of experience working in software or electronics quality and testing in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience as a QA or test engineer or in a similar role, with a strong background in software testing.
• In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques.
• Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Experience with mobile application testing.
