About the role

As a fiduciary, the guidance we provide is always in the best interests of our clients, without conflict or competing benefits. We offer boutique customization and deep expertise in specialized investment, tax and planning strategies alongside sophisticated technology and custody platforms.

Fiduciary Trust International is owned by Franklin Templeton, a dynamic firm that spans asset management, wealth management, and fintech, giving us many ways to help investors make progress toward their goals. With clients in over 150 countries and offices on six continents, you’ll get exposed to different cultures, people, and business development happening around the world.

Relationship Associate

Fiduciary Trust International is hiring a Relationship Associate to partner with the firm’s Client Service team, which is comprised of Portfolio Managers, Trust Officers, and Relationship Managers. The team manages the wealth and financial needs of our High-Net-Worth (HNW) clients. The role requires regular interaction with clients and follow-up of ongoing client deliverables. As Associates gain more experience, they take on greater responsibility on smaller client relationships so that Portfolio Managers and Trust Officers can focus on larger, more complex client relationships.

How You Will Add Value

  • Works with the firm's Portfolio Managers, Trust Officers, and Relationships Managers on HNW family relationships, including: account administration, preparing wealth projections, preparation of cash flows, fee reviews, and preparation of presentations for client meetings.

  • Reviews daily overdraft report to determine how to cure income overdrafts. Coordinates with Portfolio Manager/Investment Team to raise cash to cure principal overdrafts.

  • Initiates wire transfers, discretionary principal payments, currency transactions, bill paying, and gifts and contributions. Assists clients with their charitable gifts and confirming gift details.

  • Reviews trust documents and ensures all transactions are in compliance with the trust agreement and state laws.

  • Supports Trust Officers and maintains contact with clients. Acts as a key point of contact for client and intermediaries with accountants, attorneys, and other advisors.

  • Coordinates trust terminations and account closing in coordination with our Trust Counsel and tax department.

  • New Account Openings: Analyzes relevant documents to begin KYC. Reviews account openings with RM to determine proper administration of account, state law requirements, beneficiaries, tax suits, and fee analysis.

  • Provide excellent client service to internal partners and HNW clients.
