Director of Videography and Photography

Description

Albion College invites applications for the Director of Videography and Photography position. The Director of Videography / Photography is responsible for planning, directing, capturing and editing compelling and inspiring branded video, photo, audio, and motion graphic content to tell the story of Albion College and its unique position to engage prospective students, current students, parents, alumni, donors, and the surrounding community. This role collaborates with fellow staff in the Office of Marketing and Communications, student interns, and freelancers—as necessary—to create engaging content for a wide range of outlets, including but not limited to college-owned channels, events, advertisements, and beyond, and will measure the effectiveness of the productions with analytical tools to inform future work. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with sensitivity and confidentiality.

Must contribute to a campus climate that emphasizes a commitment to working with individuals and groups from a variety of identities, cultures and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, video production, digital marketing, multimedia production, or related field, from a four-year college or university.
• 2-5 minimum years of videography and photography experience
• Drone license or willingness to work towards licensure.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Availability to work flexible hours as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends
• Strong background in digital asset management
