Summary of Job Duties:
The Project/Program Manager is responsible for overseeing, managing, and maintaining the University's campus-wide physical security systems, including access control, security cameras, parking management, e-phones, security alarms, panic buttons, and related technologies. This position will interface the physical security systems with IT infrastructure, including network and server administration, database maintenance and management, mechanical and low-voltage electrical repairs. The position serves as the key liaison between campus police, facilities management, and IT Services. The Physical Security Systems Administrator role is critical in safeguarding campus facilities, responding to security incidents, and maintaining seamless operations for all physical security measures. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and one (1) year of relevant professional experience in computer-related applications or a related area; OR High school diploma or equivalent, plus three (3) years of relevant professional experience in computer-related applications or a related area.
Valid driver's license.
Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements upon approval of the qualifications review committee.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Experience working in a higher education environment and understanding the unique security needs of a campus community;
Experience in the physical security-related field.
