Position Overview:
This role has strategic and operational responsibility for leading and managing all aspects and activities associated within supply chain. They will manage the purchasing and supplier quality teams for both product areas including development of the strategic plan and KPIs aligned with the product areas. The strategic plan should include strategies to reduce and manage risk in the supply chain, identify and manage the full cost of the supply chain (including hidden cost like NCMR, inspections and scrap), sourcing strategies by categories, alignment with global purchasing, development, and execution for supply chain strategy for new product development and design changes as well as life cycle management of the supply chain.
Job Duties:
- Lead, manage, coach and mentor supply chain management teams including purchasing, strategic sourcing and supplier quality direct and indirect reports with a focus on employee satisfaction, employee development, inspiration and retention. Communicate and manage these goals throughout the year.
- Responsible with his/her team to ensure supplier performance to support his/her assign facility and other facilities with assigned supplier with a global reach.
- Influences and drives business decisions through recommendations on business cases, process improvement and ROI analysis for projects, initiatives, and capital expenditures.
- Support development and implementation of strategy for categories to achieve purchasing goals and objectives aligned with appointed Category managers.
- Ensure quality requirements and process compliance are achieved and cost reductions are optimized.
- Effectively engage with functional groups and manufacturing site management to establish plans and targets for partnering with them across the procurement value chain to drive ongoing value (savings, value-add services, NPD, etc) improve service levels, ensure fit-for-purpose goods/services, ensure contractual compliance, etc.
- Work with senior management and functional leadership to select and prioritize strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management initiatives across functions and categories and align stakeholders and supplier relationship management initiatives across functions and categories and actual performance relative to the established targets.
- Ensure identification of critical suppliers, define supply risks, establish mitigation plan and ensure business continuity planning.
- Monitor and establish improvement targets to pre-defined key performance metrics for their supplier bases within the site or to suppliers assigned to them globally.
- Implement sustainability criteria and programs with suppliers.
- Ensure and monitor company compliance with contractual obligations, sourcing policies, and preferred supplier arrangements, managing team budgeting and control process.
- Encourage internal collaboration, knowledge sharing, compliance with best practices, and established category/commodity management processes.
- Communicate effectively with the organization and purchasing management team on the status and issues of key initiatives. Ensure compliance to regulatory and statutory requirements along with the Getinge code of conduct.
- Elevate employee performance by conducting gap analysis of expected competencies; develop plan to close gaps and mentor employees.
Background Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant functional experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, or Procurement required.
- Masters’ or Advanced Degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in driving productivity, quality, and efficiency of supply chain.
- Professional certification(s) preferred.
Salary range: $165k - $190k
