The Job: 

As the Director of Strategic Capabilities, you will be part of our Global Supply Chain – Strategy Office team supporting the future growth of SBD and the Global Supply Chain (GSC) transformation. Reporting into the Sr Director, Strategic Capabilities and GSC Chief of Staff, the Director plays a pivotal role in helping to design, shape and execute the GSC strategic agenda. The right individual will bring confidence and high learning agility to a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a focus on operationalizing new capabilities for a more externally focused, customer-led organization.

Specifically, the Director of Strategic Capabilities will support and lead three key elements within the GSC operating model as outlined:
 

• Governance
  • Maintain and improve critical elements of GSC governance – Measure, Monitor, Communicate
  • Drive compliance around processes, agendas, and guidance for core cadences within GSC

• Performance Management
  • Maintain development playbooks, lead annual development process, and build and maintain GSC and SO content library
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans, including resource requirements, deliverables, milestones, and completion timelines
  • Work through conflicting issues, roadblocks and dependencies; proactively manage risks, changes and communication with project stakeholders

• Strategic Planning
  • Partner with strategy development team and cross-functional groups to operationalize strategic processes (Business Process Management) and integrate strategic roadmaps
  • Define and build quarterly strategy / optimization program engagements

The position will be based remotely. Significant travel is required for this role (ranging from 25%-75%). The role will report directly to the Sr Director, GSC Strategic Capabilities & Chief of Staff.

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain or related business discipline required
• 9+ years of supply chain experience required and/or 5+ years of client facing management consulting experience
• MBA highly preferred
• Extensive operating experience creating and implementing large scale strategic processes
• Strategic planning – strategic thinking, long-range planning, operational planning
• Partner with business leaders outside of global supply chain to ensure seamless execution of strategic programs
• Have or obtain PMP certification within 12 months
