We deliver end-to-end solutions that result in revolutionary work. We are seeking a lead social media strategist to join our team at VML working on a quickly growing luxury brand. Here’s Where You Come In You're a skilled practitioner and team leader who knows how to set the direction for social strategies, campaigns and activations. You'll make decisions and craft the vision for a brand's overall approach and daily execution on social platforms, in addition to helping to grow and evolve the social capability at VML. Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the creation of social strategies, social playbooks, activations and campaign ideas
- Direct and synthesize research, social listening and other data to guide a brand's strategic decisions
- Partner with creative, strategy, data and media teams to define and achieve a brand's social marketing goals
- Hire, supervise and guide the development of junior team team members
- Plan, execute and oversee social media campaigns, including user-generated content (UGC), influencer programs and real-time activations
- Identify and surface insights from the community behaviors, mentions and 1:1 interactions revelant to the brand
- 10+ years of social marketing experience
- Experience coaching and developing one or more direct reports
- Advanced understanding of social platforms, audiences and behaviors, and the ability to make sound decisions based on that knowledge
- Ability to apply knowledge of social media to effectively solve a wide variety of client challenges
- Strong communication and presentation skills in a wide variety of formats and settings
- Ability to collaborate effectively across organizations, departments, teams and individuals
- Experience in the automotive category is a plus
- Experience working on luxury brands is a plus
