We are seeking candidates for the position of Director Safety Statistics Reporting & Training (7383) in the System Safety.

Salary Range: Min: $104,000.00 - Mid: $130,000.00 - Max: $156,000.00 

       

OVERALL DESCRIPTION

The Director of Safety Statistics, Reporting & Training is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of safety related data analysis. reporting and training of safety initiatives within the Authority. Required to use data driven insights to enhance safety protocols, reporting accuracy and employee training programs. The director collaborates with cross-functional teams 10 develop and execute strategies that foster a culture of safety excellence.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Oversees the collection, analysis, and interpretation of safety-related data from various sources, such as incident reports, near miss occurrences, audits, and compliance assessments.
  2. Utilizes statistical methods and data analytics to identify trends, patterns and areas of concerns related to safety performance.
  3. Develops and manages comprehensive safety reports, dashboards, and presentations for various levels within SEPTA.
  4. Communicates findings. trends and recommendations derived from data analysis to support evidence-based decision making.
  5. Designs, develops, and implements effective safety training pro rams that align with industry standards. regulations, and best practices.
  6. Collaborates with subject matter experts to create state of the art training content, including e-modules, workshops, and hands on exercises.
  7. Stay current with safety regulations, standards, and industry trends to ensure that SEPTA's safety programs are complying.
  8. Provides guidance and support to ensure safety-related activities, procedures and documentation meet regulatory requirements.
  9. Leads and manages a team of safety professionals, data analysts, trainers, and other staff members to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Set clear performance expectations, provide coaching and development opportunities, and documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
  10. Develops and implements a strategic roadmap for enhancing safety statistics, reporting, and training functions.
  11. Identifies opportunities for process improvements and innovations to enhance safety practices and outcomes.
  12. Collaborates with various departments within System Safety, Operations, HR, Communications and Legal to ensure alignment of safety efforts with broader SEPTA wide goals.
  13. Other Duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field and eight (8) years' experience in safety management, data analysis, reporting, and training, with progressively increasing leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools required.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry standards required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Leadership experience, including team management and development required.
