About the role

Squarespace is looking for a Director, Revenue Operations to lead and manage the end-to-end revenue operations function, driving operational efficiency and aligning processes, systems, and data across the revenue-generating teams. You will collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategies, streamline workflows, and improve forecasting, reporting, and analytics to ensure consistent revenue growth. Your leadership and expertise will be critical in scaling our revenue engine to meet both short-term and long-term business objectives.

You will report to the Senior Director, FP&A and be based out of our NYC headquarters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Sales & Marketing, Customer Operations, Product Management and Engineering, to identify and drive important business initiatives, aligning operational efficiencies to revenue outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that the technology ecosystem is integrated and aligned to support revenue goals.
  • Business owner for systems related to Order Management, Billing, Collections and Cash Applications, including design, roadmap planning, optimizations and project sponsorship.
  • Manage relationships with key third party partners related to the processing and billing of SQSP customers. 
  • Apply knowledge of best practices surrounding the deal desk to streamline and scale. 
  • Ensure clean, accurate, and actionable data for all revenue teams, utilizing CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other tools to support reporting, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Evaluate Billing & Collections data, as well as user feedback to make sound, data driven recommendations to reduce Billing Errors and Cash Collections delays, collaborating to manage risk and fraud related to core billing for the company. 
  • Assist with external financial audits, SOC audits, and other due diligence requests
  • Develop and implement systems to track and report on revenue KPIs, sales performance, and pipeline progress.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance; PMP certified preferred
  • 12+ years of progressive Revenue and Financial Operations experience
  • Experience with ASC 606
  • Large billing SaaS system experience with emphasis on Billing, AR Module, Projects Module, Case Management or equivalent; multiple examples of large transformations
  • Salesforce.com experience, ideally working knowledge of Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote)
  • Extensive experience developing and optimizing order to cash processes and systems
  • Proven experience working with sales, marketing, and customer success teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Expertise in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and revenue operations tools (e.g., Tableau, Domo, or similar analytics tools)
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring teams
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

Cash Compensation Range: $203,500 - $275,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors. 

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock.
