About the Team
The State Outreach and Implementation is a close knit, high performing team of 6 people dedicated to providing a high level of implementation support to our state accountability customers. The State Outreach and Implementation team works collaboratively to solve problems and enact change. This team works closely with external stakeholders including assessment departments in state departments of education, district assessment coordinators, and school test coordinators. Internally, this team partners closely with other assessment operations team members as well as state and district partnership colleagues.
About the Opportunity
As our Director, Outreach and Implementation, you will be the primary contact for the customer and responsible for leading large-scale end-to-end assessment implementations at the state and/or district level. You will manage the end-to-end implementations to ensure the timely and successful assessment system implementation in accordance with requirements. You will support the development and implementation of comprehensive plans and protocols to meet the needs of states and/or districts and to achieve the divisional and corporate program goals. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer needs and program goals while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You must have the ability to work with senior level leaders in the state, district, or within the College Board.
In this role, you will:
Implementation Support (70%)
Lead and facilitate status meetings with external and internal stakeholders and act as point of escalation for teams
Demonstrate strong communication and decision-making skills with the ability to lead and manage integrated initiatives
Act as SAT and PSAT subject matter expert to provide guidance to state customers
Act as the voice of the customer during policy, process, and solutioning discussions
Work closely with the Implementation and Outreach Project Manager to meet project schedule and budget
Communicate formally and informally to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management
Develop/contribute training materials for use in all states on SAT, PSAT, and accommodations processes. Lead training sessions as needed with customers
Manage documentation of all state processes and implementation activities
Planning and Implementation Design (30%)
Work with the State Outreach and Implementation team and other stakeholders to develop state implementation processes for the new digital SAT Suite
Create communications and training materials to support state customers to implement the new digital SAT Suite
About You
You have:
A minimum of 5-7 years of implementation or project management experience
Excellent communications skills - must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing including direct, concise executive communications skills
A track record of success managing cross-functional projects
Proficiency in Smartsheet and/or Microsoft Project and other Microsoft Office applications
A proven ability to build relationships and influence others to action
Expertise creating and delivering webinars and other training sessions
The ability to travel 10-12 times a year to customer and/or College Board offices
Bachelor’s degree is required

The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $80,000 to $130,000. College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this range in which you can expect a salary.
