We’re #hiring for Director Operations - Formulations in our Belvidere, NJ site.  This position is responsible to deliver products at the lowest cost and in conformity with Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) requirements, best practices (IMPACT) and all relevant laws and regulations. You will develop plans & programs to improve Quality, SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) performance and asset capabilities to fulfill site Manufacturing Plan and Business Operations Strategy Formulations.

Your key responsibilities

• Deliver the agreed volume of product(s) at the lowest cost and in conformity with SHEQ requirements, best practices and all relevant laws and regulations
• Develop plans & programs to improve Quality, SHE performance and Asset capabilities to fulfill site Manufacturing Plan and Business Operations Strategy Formulations  
• Ensure that safety, quality and environmental standards are maintained and provide leadership to ensure the organization has a world class Safety, Health and Environmental culture
• Motivate the organization to further deploy the principles of continuous improvement and strive to achieve year on year improvement across all improvement dimensions

You bring:

• Minimum 10 years of manufacturing work experience in chemical and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing required; experience in a cGMP environment highly preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience directly managing others required; experience as a production manager and/or plant manager and dry powder production highly preferred
• Experience in food/ingredient manufacturing and formulations production strongly preferred
• Leading teams through change
• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in an engineering discipline preferred, master’s degree a plus

 

The salary scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $153,300-$283,500
