Job Description Summary:
The Director, Nursing Operations is accountable for developing, implementing, advancing, and sustaining a nursing operations organization that focuses on quality, growth, efficiency, and transformation. This role will manage enterprise-wide nursing initiatives and collaborate with the field nursing and clinical services teams to develop, implement, and sustain processes that result in high quality patient care. This role will enable growth and create nursing capacity, create optimized and consistent practices to deliver high-quality cost-effective care across the network, and leverage technology to transform and advance the nursing operating model. The Director, Nursing Operations is responsible for tracking and communicating nursing performance on key metrics, developing key measures and reports/dashboards to enhance visibility of the business and improve nursing decision making and execution. The Director, Nursing Operations will assist in the development, deployment, adoption and success of nursing transformation initiatives and help drive strategic growth vectors.Job Description:
Tracks, supports and communicates nursing performance on key metrics and strategizes deployment of initiatives to improve nursing operations resulting in high quality patient care.
Develop and drive key performance metrics for nursing operations; follow a data-driven approach to identify root cause issues and develop customized action plans. Advance reporting, tools, and training to enable Nursing leaders to improve results and execution in alignment with KPI targets.
Assist in developing and driving nurse optimization, visit scheduling, and visit approval strategies; develop nurse process consistency through establishing nurse foundational expectations and visit process standardization utilizing technology enhancements.
Assist with development of nurse staffing/demand model through technology expansion to provide data driven approach to determining nurse needs based on geography, day of the week and time of the day.
Work collaboratively with the Operations Training team to develop, review, enhance, and successfully launch
training program for both established teammates and new hires; enhance recruiting efforts and improve
retention rates
Develop and lead nurse support program that is available both during and after hours
Collaborates with Strategic Operation Team to ensure objectives aligned with all other initiatives.
Provide virtual and onsite CMC nursing support when key focus locations arise; support local leadership with
the onboarding and training of new nurse managers
Serves as an active analytical partner to senior management through analysis and other projects that will improve understanding of the nursing operations and lead to better decisions.
Develops models and reporting that identify costs (by function, process, fixed, variable) per unit (CMC, order, script, other) and identifies a baseline for action.
Lead efforts in subcontract nurse management that includes but not limited to, invoice automation; contract review, updates, and adherence; compliance auditing; technology expansion.
Work collaboratively to drive consistent use of various technology platforms and systems to create an overall seamless and interoperable nursing platform. Partner with IT to developed advanced technology to improve quality and efficiency within Nursing.
Supports the COO and functional VPs on special projects and tasks to include process efficiency and productivity improvements.
