This position requires an onsite presence at the Banfield Pet Hospital headquarters in Vancouver, Washington, with a hybrid work schedule (3 days/week).
Summary and Qualifications:
The Director, Learning Delivery will be responsible for the oversight, effectiveness, and execution of company-wide learning and development initiatives and programs. They will act as key member of the broader Mars Veterinary Health (MVH) learning council and provide key Business Unit (BU) insights to inform MVH program development, make recommendations and execute on the deployment of global MVH programs at Banfield.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Lead the Banfield learning and development team, providing direction, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality program delivery and engagement.
- Sets the Banfield Learning strategy based on data analysis of operational performance, stakeholder feedback.
- Identifies learning interventions and assesses the right content and delivery method to address the issue.
- Serves as the Banfield liaison, bringing insights to MVH Learning Council meetings to influence and inform decision making and prioritization.
- Serve as a thought leader and advocate for learning and development with the organization, including, but not limited to steering teams.
- Champion BU priorities and areas of focus/strategies with learning governance.
- Stakeholder management within the BU to ensure learning programs are effectively delivered and meeting business needs.
- Provide program management, measurement and tracking specific to BU learning programs and initiatives.
- Facilitate learning programs as needed.
- Foster a culture of continuous leaning and professional development throughout the organization.
- Continuously refine and enhance learning programs based on feedback and evaluation results.
- Analyze training outcomes and Associate performance data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions:
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
- Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 25 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.

Experience, Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Change Management or Organizational Development is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Eight years of experience in learning, talent management, or organizational development are required, with a minimum of three years in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities are required.
- Organizational and project management skills are required.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions regarding learning initiatives is required.
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels is required.
- Ability to develop and maintain quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required.
- Microsoft Office & Smartsheet experience is required.
- Experience at large scale multi-unit learning deployment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of learning authoring tools (Articulate, InDesign) is preferred.
- Ability to speak and deliver high-quality presentations to a group is preferred.
- Ability to proactively keep abreast of all learning and development trends and best practices is preferred.
