Director, International Media Business Development

The NFL International Media Group is seeking a Director of International Media Business Development to help grow the company through extending the reach of our media partnerships throughout the world. This person will focus on deepening relationships with current partners, identification and development of new business opportunities, as well as the formation of strategic partnerships and alliances.
Working closely with NFL offices around the world, the Director will be expected to help develop strategies approaches to expand the NFL’s international media business in both the short and long-term.
Responsibilities
- Identify, negotiate and manage strategic relationships with media partners globally
- Identify new business opportunities including expansion of new products across various mediums of telecast/platforms
- Conduct financial analyses and develop proposals to evaluate new business opportunities
- Support media team and international offices (London, Toronto, Mexico City, Beijing and Tokyo) in preparing market analysis, strategic business objectives and revenue projections for media negotiations.
- Maintain market intelligence on media and sports rights globally
- Track viewing trends of NFL content internationally
- Oversee revenue and production budgets for international programming and services
- Client/partnership management
- Contribute to strategy development efforts
- Create and make strategic presentations to senior executives inside and outside the organization
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8-10 years work experience in a corporate strategy role at a leading media company / sports organization, and/or experience in consulting or financial service
- Bachelor’s degree, with an MBA preferred
Other Key Attributes / Characteristics
- Experience and understanding of the media industry and key trends within the media landscape
- Experience in sports industry preferred
- Client management
- Adept at negotiating sound commercial agreements and possessing a solid understanding of contracts, particularly licensing arrangements
- Understanding of financial analysis and modeling
- Proven ability to think strategically and analytically
- Ability to create and make strategic and deal related presentations to senior management
- Desire to work within culturally diverse settings
- A team player who is capable of interacting and working cross-functionally in a multi-function organization
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
- Experience in managing a small teams of varying experience levels
- Relationships within the media industry
- Knowledge of business landscape in Asia preferred
- Multiple language skills a plus
Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
