Vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption.  Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work. 

Job Description

We are hiring for an exciting new opportunity as part of our Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Service, responsible for MSK’s Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) program! 

 

The Associate Director of, the CIBMTR program is a new position reporting directly to the Chief Attending, Adult Bone Marrow Transplant, and is responsible for actively managing the development and daily operations of the program. In collaboration with leadership within Adult Bone Marrow Transplant, Cellular Therapy, Quality Nursing, and Clinical Research, they will ensure optimal compliance with reporting mandates and program accreditation. Recently celebrating 50 years of providing bone marrow transplants, MSK has always been at the forefront of BMT research. To support patient outcome reporting requirements to the Center for International Blood & Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR), we are looking for a dynamic, engaged, and dedicated leader to support this integral work. Domestic bone marrow transplants, stem cell transplants, and gene and cellular therapies require long-term patient outcome reporting to the CIBMTR, to both support safe patient outcomes and align with the global research program that is CIBMTR, this is an exciting and critical role to support MSK’s mission.  

 

You will:

 

Program Oversight

  • Provide program oversight of CIBMTR program and data reporting operations for entire adult program and serve as the primary liaison with the CIBMTR.
  • Ensure quality reporting, regulatory oversight and data analysis for research data requests specific to meeting standards for the Center.
  • Ensure accurate and effective data collection in order to maintain FACT, CIBMTR and BMT CTN standards and perform regular audits to make certain we are audit-ready for the aforementioned organizations’ monitoring/audit visits
  • Advocate for ongoing optimization of program requirements.
  • Remain up to date on all upcoming changes, trainings, requirements, to ensure program is optimized.

Performance Management

  • Manage QA/QC team, data entry team and data scientist.
  • Provide much needed expertise to train new staff, support the management team for staff reporting, and provide resources for process improvement as the number of CIBMTR data managers increase in the service.
  • Be responsible for minimum of 3x/year data review to ensure quality function and data input work is occurring accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure staff operates at high functionality ensuring data quality is at a <3% error rate at all times.

Financial and Resource Management

  • Review opportunities to optimize working team to ensure duplication of efforts is being minimized. 
  • Provide high level administrative and analytical support; conduct business planning and trend analysis.
  • Ensure development, sharing and maintenance of information mechanisms and systems to capture, monitor, analyze and report data to meet program and institutional needs and objectives.
