Director, Cloud Infrastructure

SOCi, the marketing platform for multi-location brands, is currently looking for a Director, Cloud Infrastructure to join our growing engineering team to help us achieve our next stage of rapid growth. You will be responsible for defining cloud infrastructure strategy, direction, architecture and standards including but not necessarily limited to security, monitoring, performance, disaster recovery, network and scalability. As a part of your job, you will ensure 24/7 availability of the SOCi platform by directing the strategy around reliability, scalability and security.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead the design and implementation of SOCi’s cloud infrastructure, including the development of cloud architecture, and the deployment of cloud-based solutions
• Develop and maintain the company's DevOps strategy, including the implementation of continuous integration and delivery pipelines, the automation of testing and deployment processes, and the management of infrastructure as code
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure that the company's applications are deployed and maintained in a reliable and scalable manner
• Manage the company's cloud budget and optimize cost efficiency through resource management and the use of cost optimization tools
• Monitor the performance and availability of the company's cloud infrastructure and identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop and maintain documentation of the company's cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the DevOps team

What You’ll Need to be Successful

• Remote Opportunity: Ability to work 100% remotely 
• Must Have:  
  • 10+ years of experience in the DevOps and cloud computing environment
  • 5+ years of experience managing infrastructure strategy and DevOps teams
  • Superb project management skills and ability to interact with peers, senior executives, cross-functional stakeholders, and external third parties
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies especially in the context of AWS and GCP
  • Track record of successfully developing and championing a healthy DevOps culture within an organization
  • Ability to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously, professionally, and empathetically
  • A love for creating order out of chaos, you are utterly organized and detail oriented.
  • Intellectual curiosity paired with a high growth-mindset
  • Strong influencing skills, with a reputation for getting things done effectively
  • Experience with Cloud Security compliance and audits
  • Strong strategic mindset, with the ability to see the big picture and outline key outcomes
