Job Description

Reporting to the VP, Business Solutions DTC, the Director, Business Solutions supports NBCU Direct-to-Consumer(DTC) Business Partners by ensuring the effective execution of large-scale technology programs as well as process improvement activities in support of strategic business objectives.  He/she will collaborate with leaders and stakeholders across all DTC Business units, Enterprise Engineering, TechOps and other technology portfolios to ensure proper cross functional coordination & execution across delivery teams from initiation to completion.  This position requires excellent communication and relationship management skills to influence and resolve issues.  This position is considered to be Hybrid, therefore, it is expected to be on-site at least three times per week.

Responsibilities

The Director, Business Solutions DTC will provide strategic/tactical leadership and oversight for creating, sustaining, implementing, and driving efficient and effective technical initiatives and processes in support of business objectives. He/she will collaborate with leaders and stakeholders from DTC and The Operations and Technology (O&T) team to ensure proper coordination and execution of activities related to the delivery of large initiatives, technology programs and projects. He/she will be responsible for overseeing multiple areas, including supporting technology rollouts from initiation to project closure; managing governance around technology processes; supporting issue escalations; and reporting tools across DTC.

Job Duties

• Strategizes, implements, and maintains large scale initiatives and activities that adhere to the departments mission, short term and long-term goals, and broader organizational objectives
• Coordinates the work of multiple operational teams ensuring goals are reached as quickly and efficiently as possible
• Manages department portfolio and budget to ensure maximum productivity
• Leads, advocates, applies, enforces, and maintains agile best-practices in planning, coordination, documentation development and organization, risk management, implementation, testing, and validation
• Support the Business Solutions team with a diverse array of tools and experience to ensure value
• Ensures that all aspects of program\project cost, quality, timing, and scope meet business requirements
• Develop and deliver executive communications and assist in the development of programs and initiatives during the implementation, integration, verification, and certification phases
• Ensures external teams align with all goals and objectives; ensure complete transparency between internal and external teams
• Identifies impediments and assists the team with removing roadblocks to ensure successful deliverables
• Analyzes, evaluates, and overcomes risks associated to initiatives, and produce pertinent KPI reports for various stakeholders
• Develop and maintain essential metrics, KPIs, Portfolio Management and accomplishments for all of DCT Business Units

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field preferred
• 12+ years of work experience working with large scale program / project management
• Experience building and leading technology teams and growing organizations and developing team culture
