Job Description
The Director, Business Management is responsible for the stewardship and oversite of the BM team and BM Best Practices as well as providing principled guidance to SSW Operations leadership around client finance reporting and narrative, forecasting, investment tracking, risk analysis, and staffing allocations. In addition, the Director, Business Management creates and helps develop training materials for the Project Management and CS Teams.
BM Stewardship:
Goal: To provide each BM team member with consistent and targeted support with the goal of bolstering each members existing skills and providing a pathway to growth.
- One on Ones
- Backend support on client and internal financial reporting
- Frontend support on client and internal financial reporting
- Person of escalation (forecast, investment, client relationships, etc.)
BM Best Practices:
Goal: To create and socialize client and internal financial documents and processes that provide the most effective and detailed client finance analysis including:
- Project estimating tool
- Client Finance Tracker
- Accruals
SSW Leadership Oversight:
Goal: To provide targeted support to book/account leadership around the following needs:
- New client finance conversations with clients and/or procurement
- Ideal client finance reporting and tracking
- Investment projections and tracking
- Partner agency relationships and engagements
- Approach to staffing and forecasting
- Risk analysis/identifying ‘red flags’
SSW Training
Goal: Working with Project Mgmt and Finance, to establish comprehensive training decks and videos around the following subjects:
- Financial Tracking Process
- Fixed Fee, Value Based Pricing, and T&M Training
- Forecasting 101
- Estimating and Cost to Completes
Additional Information
Compensation Range: $91,000 - $154,00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
