Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead the growth of our Tradecraft, Cyber and Information Operations programs with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Intelligence Community customers. Must be local to the DC/Metro area and travel as needed for customer meetings and conferences.
Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, lead, and win new business opportunities with a focus on complex solutions for all aspects of the research, development, test and analysis, systems engineering, sustainment, IT, and operational support of our DHS CISA and IC customers.
- Develop and mature key relationships within the customers’ organizations.
- Develop key relationships and/or teaming agreements with federal prime government contractors.
- Assist in guiding buying organizations by demonstrating technology solutions, architectures, capabilities, and potential acquisition paths for early-stage opportunities, working with internal technical and program management teams to develop responses for requests for information (RFI), market survey’s, white papers, presentations, briefings, and major event demonstrations.
- Support, and when called upon, have the business skills and ability to lead capture activities
- Closely collaborate with operational lines of business, marketing, finance, contracts, legal, and executive management to win new business and re-compete contracts.
- Embrace the Peraton Business Acquisition Process in daily activities, and effectively communicate all the opportunities and plans for management and technical teams.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer/contracting office meetings as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree and 16 years, or a masters’ and 14 yrs of experience in business development.
- Deep understanding of customer’s missions across the cyber, identity, and infrastructure security areas of DHS CISA and the Intelligence Community.
- Demonstrated a successful track record of supporting or winning contracts in DHS and the IC.
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Based in the Northern Virginia area.
- Travel may be required as needed.

- Demonstrated success in program operational support and business development of professional services, engineering, or related business solutions with clients in DHS CISA and the Intelligence Community.
- Direct experience building and managing a diverse portfolio of partner companies in support of mission solutions in DHS CISA and the Intelligence Community.
- Demonstrate high energy, integrity, strong business acumen, professionalism, and commitment.
- A highly effective communicator with all levels within the company and with clients.

Target Salary Range
$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Apply for this role
