Direct Support Professional/Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Direct Support Professional will work closely with clients to help them achieve their goals and live as independently as possible.

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming

- Help clients with meal preparation and feeding

- Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals

- Assist with transportation to appointments and community activities

- Develop and implement individualized care plans for each client

- Monitor and document client progress and report any concerns to healthcare professionals

- Maintain a safe and clean living environment for clients

- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred

- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals

- Compassionate and patient demeanor

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
