Director, Software Engineering - Enterprise Data (REMOTE)

About the Role

In this role, you will direct Big Data development, Decision System delivery and support efforts of highly scalable and high performing technology solutions in an Agile work environment and produce and deliver code and/or test cases using Agile practices. You will provide leadership and direction to technical managers, architects, quality assurance engineers, developers, and other technologists in resolving critical production issues to help simplify and improve business processes through the latest in technology and automation. You are a technical expert and will lead through the requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, and support phases of a product. You will establish operational objectives and assignments for managers across related departments or functional units.

• Leads and influences the vision of the product by contributing to Data Services design and architecture that result in high performing technology.

• Develop and enhance Decision System to solve complex business problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of the company by keeping customer experience at the forefront.

• Lead and model a DevOps mindset by applying automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery in everything we do.

• Foster innovation acting as a change agent to support business growth, reduce operational costs, and improve service levels by applying best practices and learning from emerging technologies.

• Provide engineering leadership, collaborating, and influencing at senior levels.

• Thought leader, contributing to development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people in projects and assignments of diverse scope.

• Lead and facilitate teams creating highly collaborative environment.
