Director, Client Partnerships – Intel - Sales

Business Development-Remote

Amplity is seeking to add to our talented team of professionals a Director, Client Partnerships for our Intel business. This role is primarily responsible for identifying and winning new insights services business in the pharmaceutical commercialization market.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selling AI-platforms and insights solutions and gaining access to key decision makers and influencers in the Pharmaceutical / Biotech / Life Sciences industry. The Client Partner will lead with a consultative approach to best understand growth objectives and pain points then strategize the best Intel solution to secure new clients, leading to business growth.

Essential /Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new Intel business opportunities based on your existing network and pharma relationships. Proactively build relationships within assigned target companies.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy new business pipeline to meet all sales targets.
  • Effectively represent Amplity Intel and insights services on introductory calls to convey value and further discussion with internal subject matter experts.
  • Plan, orchestrate, strategize, and own all aspects of the clients’/prospects’ data business development initiatives and activities.
  • Prepare and lead Intel pitch presentations for Intel business opportunities and participate in integrated proposals presented in collaboration with colleagues across Amplity’s business lines.
  • Recommend innovative strategies to achieve client business objectives.
  • Facilitate information sharing between prospective clients and internal teams to ensure all questions and concerns are addressed to close business.
  • Maintain high standards of sales operations diligence, including pipeline reporting accuracy, and prioritize behaviors to achieve KPIs.
  • Stay informed of data industry trends and identify new strategies to address.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience required.
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully selling to pharmaceutical commercial and medical teams insights and solutions to support the commercialization and lifecycle management of their products.  
  • Experience working in the AI/database platform services sector or similar in the life sciences industry in roles with progressively increasing responsibilities in either Sales and/or Business Development, 8-10 years preferred.
  • Deep understanding of traditional industry data sets such as prescription data, claims data and EMR data.
  • Established relationships within the data services sector of the pharmaceutical and biotech marketplace especially in commercial, marketing, brand management, sales, and HEOR divisions.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of successful sales/business development efforts
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as SalesForce.com and LinkedIn.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly developed planning and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel 30%.+ as needed.
  • Preference for residents in Eastern and Central time zones
  • Successfully pass background check.

Credentialing Requirements:

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers.  It is the Company’s expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.
