IT Concepts, Inc. (ITC) is seeking an experienced Software Asset Management Lead to support our VA-ESOM- End Point Support and Operations Monitoring contract across the United States. The VA is responsible for providing comprehensive onsite and remote support to IT customers across all VA Administrations and special program offices, including direct support of over 340,000 VA employees and thousands of contractors who use government-furnished IT equipment and infrastructure. The VA provides support staff across 100+ CONUS and OCONUS locations including difficult-to-accommodate locales, such as high cost of living or under supported economic areas, where VA offices or facilities may be located and require onsite services.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee IT Software (SW) asset lifecycle for Mac and Windows installation, maintenance, administration, testing, vulnerability scans, automation (e.g. deployment scripts), license, entitlements, decommissioning and troubleshooting ensuring optimal and secure operations.
- Manage asset database to track software, maintenance schedules, patching, etc. and lead a consolidated view of Assets across Logistics, Maintenance and Management including active directory, system access, user admin., access control remediation efforts, and periodic audit.
- Document and report Inventory management/physical accountability checks on all software assets, Monthly Critical Priority Incidents and High Priority Incidents, update ITIL Framework, AES Scores, VA Monitoring Framework, auto alerts to VA OIT, performance metric, utilization, discrepancy & corrective action.
- Work closely with Analytics Lead on Asset and Account control Center Dashboard including SW Asset Management, Quarterly KPI Report (asset health, system updates, patches applied, configuration changes, vulnerability, mitigation), Semi-Annual (OS updates, App admin activities, health status, future roadmap), Sys Access & User, audit, local level control, disabling inactive end-user account, and service account management.
- Manage and document vendor information to obtain specifications and costs (quote), refresh information for SW assets
- Coordinate and collaborate with defined escalation paths and Asset & Logistics team members for specifications and dependencies to maintain the baseline
- Manage and utilize software asset management information for compliance and data calls
- Collaborate with ESOM Contract Business Operations team members for effective IT SW asset management and forecast / prepare for future SW asset demand
- Capturing IT SW investment requirements and aligning those upstream to the portfolio and budget; and downstream to customer service engineers and system administrators for timely and efficient customer delivery
- Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support through close monitoring of SW Incidents, Service Tickets, Problem Management, etc.
Work environment
- Contractor or on-site with up to 25% travel possible. General office environment.
- Work is generally sedentary but may require movement about the office for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Continually operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Occasionally required to move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
