Battle Management Software (BMS) Department in Ft. Wayne, IN is looking to hire a Junior Software Engineer to be part of the Command and Control (C2) Software development/maintenance team.
What You Will Do:
- Be part of a successful team creating high-performance applications and be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
- Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for a cutting-edge Navy Destroyer Platform.
- Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.
- Functional analysis of real world and test data
- Collaboration with customer to bring new capabilities to the warfighter.
What You Will Learn:
- A breadth of advanced software technologies and techniques including multi-tiered architectures.
- Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.
- Software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) AND a minimum of 1.5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Experience developing software using C++/Ada/Java.
- Developing software in a Windows environment.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience in OO and scripting languages
- At least 6 months of relevant software development experience is highly preferable.
- Software development lifecycle experience using an Agile methodology.
- Experience across the product development life cycle.
- Well developed communications skills and team collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Proven ability and desire to facilitate career growth and knowledge transfer.
- Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues.
- Familiarity with DOORS, and MS Office.

Location Information: This software engineering position is onsite at our Ft. Wayne, IN location.

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
