Expert Human Factors Engineer (HFE)

SUMMARY

Gritter Francona, Inc., a certified SDVOSB, seeks an experienced Human Factors Engineer (HFE)

The Human Factors Engineer will have a deep understanding of research and industry trends and apply this state-of-the-art knowledge in findings and methods to devise strategies, evaluations, and designs to assess products and processes. Federal government experience (employee, contractor, or consultant) preferred; Veterans Health Administration and/or Defense Health Administration preferred.

DUTIES

HF engineers must be able to visualize how design changes made to products will affect all users. They must be able to make thoughtful suggestions during live demo calls and react to participant answers during any type of user session. They must also have communication skills to clearly enunciate human factor issues to the engineering team and to end users, both formally and informally.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Doctorate Degree
• 12 + years related experience
• Experience in suggesting redesigns or minimizing negative impacts where products or processes
• Understanding of research and industry trends and apply this state-of-the-art knowledge in findings and methods to devise strategies, evaluations, and designs to assess products and processes
• Thorough understanding of all applicable standards, HFE methods, and dissemination options
• SAFe's Lean Agile principles and practices
