Job Description Summary:

This position supports OhioHealth hospitals and business units as the educational support liaison for the Surgery Nurse Residency & Surgical Technology Fellowship’s clinical orientation and education functions. This position will require 8-16 hours per week based upon needs of the program. The functions include being an active instructor for in-person classes, instructional design, and providing clinical onboarding support. The position will work in collaboration with OhioHealth Learning, Culture, and Belonging and report to the Surgery Nurse Residency and Surgical Technology Fellowship Manager. This role ensures standardization of education across system cares sites, facilitates the curriculum, facilitates simulation and debrief, assists in the design of education based on educational standards, provides evidenced based practice, and reviews OhioHealth policies. This position will be responsible for leading coursework and simulations, as well as managing resources to achieve established outcomes, and to seek opportunities for program development/ improvement.

The position requires intraoperative nursing experience and an extensive communication skillset to identify needs, set priorities, and assure timely delivery of curriculum. The Senior Learning Consultant is responsible for partnering with members of the Nurse Residency and Surgical Technology Fellowship team to provide instructional, technical, and operational support to ensure education is deployed based on organizational strategy, educational standards, and evidence-based practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (Required)RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of NursingOhio Board of NursingOhio Board of NursingOhio Board of Nursing

• Degree in Nursing.
• Must hold a current registered nurse license from the state of Ohio.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year experience as intraoperative nurse (circulating required, additional scrubbing preferred).

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

• Background and experience in nursing education preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Technology Skills: Livestream, Microsoft TEAMS, Interoperable equipment (Telemetry, Zoll Defibrillator, high- fidelity simulator).
