FABRICATION IS A VALUED DEPARTMENT

Metal Fab makes various components that support our POLYWOOD furniture. Items such as stainless tubing that supports benches, steel straps that get primed for tables supports, and aluminum tubing for tables supports. We also make screws that are used in Production for assembly of the furniture. We have CNC mills for machining screw holes where needed. We have a welding area where we weld parts together such as chaise lounge braces, aluminum tables, and steel table supports. We also have the ability to fabricate new products or special fixtures. We have a full powder coat line to prime and paint parts to give the parts a durable and weatherproof finish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Set up and operate machines to paint or coat aluminum and steel products
• Load 5'x 10' sheet onto cut table
• Import cut files into software
• Make sure files/parts are correct on edit screen
• Operate Laser CNC
• Loads and unloads parts, Secures parts, and moves parts down the paint line
• Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards, and make adjustments as necessary
• Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings, or paints before adding them to machines
• Experience in maintaining pre-treatment equipment, spray booths, ovens and manual powder gun applicators
• Inspects parts for quality and informs supervisor of any problems
• Complies with safety procedures, promotes workplace safety and reports all unsafe acts

Requirements

• 3 yrs. + experience preferred
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to work in shifts 8-10 hours long (longer is needed), where you are regularly required to stand, walk, and use basic sensory functions
