What You Will Do:

The Machining Operations Supervisor supervises a blend of hourly and salaried production employees or team leaders. The Machining Operations Supervisor  will coach employees in team development and motivational strategies to establishes daily goals in addition to managing cell productivity while guiding, scheduling and sequencing of work to optimize production.

  • Meet business metrics goals as defined for each cell (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Environmental Health and Safety, CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), Employee Fulfillment)

  • Ensures all quality related items for multiple cells or a complex cell are complete and documented to meet established quality standards

  • Implement root cause corrective actions in a timely manner to ensure quality standards are maintained Implement CORE and Lean Strategies to improve Quality, reduce process time and reduce operational costs Ensure that all employees adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures

  • Guides cost reduction and process improvement in multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness; supervises activities for materials and logistics problem resolution for multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations

  • Interfaces with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service

  • Demonstrates commitment to the EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety) program by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities

  • Define and Implement plans to support the objectives of the business including Quality, CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), Employee Fulfillment, and Financial Metrics

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years' experience in an engineering, machining, manufacturing, operations management or quality environment or an Associate's degree and 4 or more years' experience in an engineering, machining, manufacturing, operations management or quality environment

  • In absence of a degree, 6 or more years' experience in an engineering, machining, manufacturing, operations management or quality environment

  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associate
