Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Business Operations Specialist supporting the Product Management & Technology Solutions (PM&TS) team within the Commercial Training Solutions (CTS) organization. This position will be in Seattle, WA.

CTS provides industry leadership in commercial aviation training and capabilities, including custom software development, engineering and technical services, and a range of services to support training centers and pilot provisioning worldwide. As a Sr. Bus Ops Specialist for PM&TS, you will be part of a high performing team, who are passionate about aviation training and its impact on aviation safety. You will also be interacting with product teams who are defining and developing the foundation for CTS’s future learning ecosystem that will modernize learning.    

In this position, you will successfully lead and support the development and execution of PM&TS’s management system, which includes overall strategy, processes, communications, operating rhythm, metrics, improvements, integration, compliance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Forges a strategic relationship with leadership to drive execution

• Analysis, execution, and continuous improvement of management system (including metrics)

• Drives efficiencies and insights into the business
• Holds oversight responsibility for a portfolio of multiple product efforts supporting Boeing business units (i.e., BGS, BCA, BDS) and airline goals and objectives
• Facilitates effective structured process for top-down and bottom-up data calls with appropriate stakeholders leveraging current process methods and tools
• Assists program and product managers in collecting task status and rolling up data to facilitate and status reporting call outs for management and executives
• Ensures data governance integrity to foster integrity within a single source of truth
• Regularly and systematically uses data to uncover opportunities, track portfolio performance that drive decision making.
• Participates in Design Thinking, Agile, and LEAN rituals which establish rhythm for the team, promote ongoing communication, and iterative refinement of roadmaps and data calls
• Supports PM&TS Leader in various meetings (primarily internal) to ensure that meetings are running efficiently and that meeting actions are tracked through to completion

This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at the listed location option. The team is working 4 days in office. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication, including executive communication using Smart Brevity wherever needed
• Highly flexible, adaptable, and resilient
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• 5 yrs experience in Program/Project Management and Scaled Agile areas in accordance with accepted standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, SAFe, and ISO standards)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and its seven stages of planning, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor’s) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Master’s and typically 8 or more years’ related work experience or 14 years work experience.)
