About the role

 

Key Purpose

 

 

The IFS Project Manager will lead and manage all aspects of food service and facility projects from start to finish. This includes ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high-quality standard. The Project Manager must also ensure that projects align with the company's overall strategy and goals.

 

This position requires a strong understanding of food service and facility operations and the ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders. The Project Manager must also work effectively with various professionals, including engineers, architects, contractors, and food service operators.

 

 

Success Criteria

 

  • Managing the design, construction, and renovation of food service and facility spaces
  • Overseeing the procurement and installation of food service and facility equipment
  • Developing and implementing food service and facility operating procedures
  • Managing budgets and timelines
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Communicating regularly with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop own skill base in line with agreed appraisal, taking responsibility for increased performance, and ensuring continued self-improvement
  • Participate and embrace the development opportunities within the group

 

 

Key Areas of Collaboration and Influence

 

  • Report to the Account Program Director and support business optimization in the Americas
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues across the company so that information is disseminated effectively and participate in project groups and meetings as required
  • Promote the IFS (Integrated Facilities Services) model within the ISS community

 

 

Ideal Candidate Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a university preferred; degree in technical, mechanical, electrical engineering, or construction management preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted for education
  • Project Manager Certification preferred.
  • LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design), WELL, and similar accreditations desired
  • Expert in the use of Project Management software, especially Microsoft Project and Smartsheet
  • Knowledge of cost estimating and budget management
  • Skilled in computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access), AutoCAD, MyMCS, and JDE systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with team members and with customers at all levels of an organization.
  • High level of organization and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Lead medium to large, complex cross-functional projects and programs end-to-end using a formal ISS Global process.
  • Lead the project scoping, initiation, budgeting, scheduling, implementation, and close-out 
  • Ensure all functions remain on schedule, escalate, resolve issues, and successfully complete the projects and programs.
  • Operate with a high degree of independent awareness 
  • Analyzing and understanding the capabilities of projects and programs, the drivers for success, and the solutions needed to manage the client and ISS expectations successfully
  • Operate with an extreme sense of urgency
  • Manage and ensure a service organization approach to client support and business development.
  • Manage internal and external relationships in support of the projects and programs.  
  • Manage a mixed team of internal support staff and external vendors 
  • Maintain a high aptitude for communication, both verbal and written
  • Track and document critical project components and milestones
  • Operate with a consultative nature to the client and internal teams
  • Understand ISS is a service organization and in all ways operates with that mindset - in service to the client

 

Physical Demands & Work Environment

 

  • Sitting at a computer for extended periods
  • Travel requirements: 5-10%
  • Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
