Building Automation Project Engineer

Position Summary:

Join our team as a Building Automation Project Engineer and play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining smart building systems for commercial spaces. You'll work closely with our field operations team to integrate HVAC, lighting, energy management, and security systems into unified, high-performance environments.

Compensation in Sunrise/Miami:
Jr. Project Engineer: $70-$116
Full Project Engineer: $116-135K

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement building automation systems based on project needs
• Integrate HVAC, lighting, security, and energy platforms
• Create system schematics, wiring diagrams, and control sequences
• Program controllers, sensors, and automation devices
• Support final commissioning and provide technical assistance to field teams and end users
• Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and best practices
• Ensure projects meet safety codes and regulatory requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience with building automation systems (Niagara, Distech, ACAD preferred)
• Knowledge of protocols like BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks
• Strong understanding of HVAC, lighting, energy, and security systems
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Degree in engineering or relevant field, or equivalent experience
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
