Wieland is hiring a Commercial Specialist. The Commercial Specialist will be responsible for providing Sales & Customer Service with sufficient commercial support needed to drive steady growth in profitability at the Duncansville, PA facility.

 

This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site. 

 

Ideal Candidate Background

• This role is highly analytical. The candidate should be self-motivated, driven, and able to initiate and complete quantifiable comparisons.
• High proficiency in Excel is a must.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, visualization, verbal communication, and organization skills.
• High energy, data-driven, and results-oriented.

Responsibilities

Commercial Specialist Responsibilities:

• Pricing Development:
  • Combine process knowledge with market price awareness and “price book” support to develop pricing guidance for WSTP’s commercial team. This knowledge and awareness can be developed over time if we consider an external candidate.
  • In support of continuous improvement, this role should be continually seeking improvements in process flow, data visibility, and pricing tools.
  • Act as our go-to specialist supporting pricing development and administration.
• Subcontractor Management:
  • Initiate and capture pricing from subcontractors for value-add services like electroplating, heat treating, freight, etc.
  • Coordinate additional technical details, logistics, etc with the appropriate counterparts within WSTP.
  • Analyze quotes from multiple vendors to guide our best selection for cost, quality, lead time, and overall service.
  • Act as our go-to specialist to direct all activities with our value-added vendors.
• Profitability:
  • Drive steady enhancements in profitability with the Commercial Team.
  • In addition to the larger negotiations, continue to drive the traditional STP methodology of steady pricing review.
• A.I. Development
  • This role would collaborate with our A.I. team lead to explore how best to utilize this technology to streamline and enhance our commercial efforts.
• Other duties that may develop under the guidance of leadership.

Commercial Specialist Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, engineering, manufacturing, operations, or an equivalent level of experience 
• Experience using various software programs including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Teams).
• 4+ years of in-depth understanding of key manufacturing processes
