Our team is responsible of Video Rendering in desktop Windows/Mac Teams clients, and we partner with teams across Microsoft to deliver immerse and innovative solutions from mobile clients up to large conference rooms. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about Video and real time collaboration space that want to make an impact in a world class product that is used by millions of daily users.

Responsibilities

As a member of our team you will architect, design and implement real time video technologies and innovations used in Teams products taking advantage of all capabilities accessible to our clients across a large variety of devices. This position gives you a unique opportunity of working on state-of-the-art hardware and software video solutions for Windows and Mac, as well as collaborating with several other key communication technologies. It will also give you the opportunity to have cross company impact across our full stack from native code through our web client. You will be working with a set of very smart people, including world-class experts in video processing and pipeline, to deliver cutting edge solutions in the collaboration and communications space. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of development experience in Windows graphics or multimedia applications in native code. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in development, debugging and profiling in Windows environment. 
• Solid knowledge of native and web development. 
• Competent in design and development as part large scale products, and familiar with Agile development methodologies. 

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
