We are searching for the best talent for Postdoctoral Scholar, Therapeutics Discovery in Spring House, PA.
Purpose: The Scholar will work closely with teams employing bioconjugate chemistry and protein engineering toward the discovery of antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) and related modalities.
The successful candidate will have a background in display technologies such as yeast display, phage display, or in vitro display and experience in using them to select proteins with specified properties. They will also ideally be familiar with protein characterization methodology. They will have demonstrated deep intellectual curiosity and creativity as well a track record of achieving research goals and an ability to independently design and carry out research.
You will be responsible for:
- Implement new project ideas (design and execution of studies, analysis of data, presentation of results).
- Collaborate with team members and other groups to advance the projects.
- Keep abreast of new technologies/capabilities relevant to this role and strive to implement them to advance research projects.
- Author data summaries, publications, and presentations.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Education: Minimum of a PhD in Biochemistry, Chemical/Biomedical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or other related field is required.
Experience/Skills
- Experience with display technology is required.
- Familiarity with antibody structure and function, experience in antibody engineering and/or antibody drug conjugates preferred
- Experience with protein biochemistry, protein expression, protein purification, bioconjugation methods, and/or biophysical characterization is preferred
- Experience with biomolecule purification using automated chromatography systems is preferred.
- Applicant should be organized, self-motivated and capable of working independently, as well as in a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment.
- Interest and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and capable of handling multiple tasks
- A solid research record demonstrated by publications and/or presentations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
