<h2>Project Overview:</h2>
<p>Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility. </p>
<p>This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long lasting energy future for generations to come.</p>
<h2>Job Summary:</h2>
<p>As a Senior Water Treatment Engineer, you will support the design development of Mechanical systems and equipment for the AP1000 project by preparing studies, piping and instrumentation diagrams, calculations, engineering specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, performing evaluations, and more in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements. This position will require working with other functions and disciplines in a team environment.</p>
<h2>Major Responsibilities:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate with the mechanical group and other disciplines/functions independently in developing system designs. </li>
<li>Resolve technical issues related to the discipline independently including any required interface with other disciplines, functions, vendors, and/or client. </li>
<li>Execute schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work products. </li>
<li>Support development of project cost and schedule estimates.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Basic Qualifications:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Level 1 - Requires a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant work experience or in lieu of degree 12-14 years of relevant work experience.</li>
<li>Level 2 - Requires a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant work experience or in lieu of degree 14-17 years of relevant work experience.</li>
<li>Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.</li>
<li>Must be authorized to live and work in Poland without sponsorship.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Minimum Qualifications:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Experience with plant water balances, wastewater characterization, water quality, and water treatment system design. </li>
<li>Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). </li>
<li>Ability to utilize office automation tools effectively. </li>
<li>Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards. </li>
<li>Broad knowledge of the application of Mechanical engineering design principles.</li>
