The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture is a state wide campus, with faculty based on University campuses, at Research and Extension Centers and in every Arkansas county. Summary of Job Duties:

Duties include assisting in supervision of seed maintenance, including organization, thrashing, cleaning, hulling, milling, hand picking, land preparation, planting, irrigation, spraying, data collection, harvesting, and data summarization for field research. Assist with implementation of small-plot research conducted at RREC and other locations in Arkansas as required. Assist in supervision of greenhouses, including labor assignments, maintenance, plant care, fertilization, planting, harvesting, seed purity, crossing, and other duties as required.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
B.S. degree in Plant Science or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of field plot techniques, with farm machinery, crop production, and demonstrated leadership skills. Computer skills, spreadsheets/word processing.
