DevOps Engineer
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast paced environment, operate gracefully under stress, effectively contribute to multiple concurrent assignments, be self driven, proactive and have great interpersonal and communication skills.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the infrastructure and processes that empower our development teams to deliver high-quality software quickly and reliably. You will work closely with developers and QA engineers to design, implement, and optimize our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and cloud-based infrastructure. This role requires a strong technical background in DevOps practices, cloud technologies, and automation tools, as well as a passion for continuous improvement and problem-solving.
Role & Responsibilities
CI/CD Pipelines:
Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable CI/CD pipelines that automate the building, testing, and deployment of our software applications.
Integrate automated testing and security checks into the pipelines to ensure the quality and security of our code.
Optimize pipeline performance and efficiency, reducing build and deployment times.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform to provision and manage cloud infrastructure resources.
Ensure consistency, reproducibility, and scalability of our infrastructure across different environments.
Collaborate with developers to define and implement infrastructure requirements.
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
Manage and monitor our cloud-based infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
Optimize resource utilization and cost management.
Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Automation and Tooling:
Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance our DevOps capabilities.
Develop custom scripts and tools to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with development, QA, and SRE teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build, deployment, and infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on DevOps best practices and tools.
- Participate in incident response and post-incident review processes to improve system reliability and resilience.
Minimum qualifications
Experience:
3+ years of experience in DevOps or a related field.
Proven track record of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud-based infrastructure.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major cloud providers.
Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
Skills:
Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Bash, or other relevant languages.
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
Proficiency in using version control systems (e.g., Git).
Understanding of networking and security concepts.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
