Job Description:
The Program Manager is responsible for applying advanced subject matter knowledge to address both common and complex business challenges while adhering to established guidelines. As a strategic leader, you will provide direction and guidance for process improvements, fostering innovation and efficiency within the team. You will represent the organization to external customers and clients, building strong relationships and maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
In this role, you will guide and motivate teams to achieve program objectives, clearly communicate with stakeholders, and manage project timelines to ensure successful delivery. You will identify and mitigate risks, control project costs, and effectively resolve conflicts to maintain momentum and project success. Additionally, you may mentor and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of IT security offerings and practices, including Network Security, Security Incident and Event Monitoring (SIEM), Identity and Access Management (IAM), Managed Endpoint Protection, and Vulnerability and Compliance Management.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Waterfall Methodology:
- Structured Planning and Scheduling: Developing detailed project plans and timelines.
- Phase-Gate Management: Managing stage-by-stage project progress.
- Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Clearly defining scope and deliverables upfront.
- Scope and Change Management: Controlling changes to the project scope.
- Risk Analysis and Mitigation Planning: Anticipating risks early and developing mitigation strategies.
- Documentation Proficiency: Maintaining comprehensive project documentation throughout all phases.
- Agile Methodology:
- Scrum and Kanban Proficiency: Understanding frameworks and using tools like Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
- Sprint Planning and Execution: Organizing short, iterative work cycles.
- Backlog and User Story Management: Prioritizing tasks and maintaining a clear backlog.
- Daily Stand-Ups and Retrospectives: Facilitating short, effective team meetings.
- Adaptive Planning: Adjusting plans based on real-time feedback and changes.
- Collaboration and Self-Organization: Empowering cross-functional teams to take ownership.
- Technical and Domain-Specific Skills:
- IT Security Knowledge: Familiarity with security offerings and practices, including Network Security, SIEM, IAM, Managed Endpoint, and Vulnerability/Compliance Management.
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency with tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Trello, and Smartsheet.
- Process Improvement: Continuously enhancing project and program processes.
Education and Experience Required
- 10+ years experience in program and project management or in like roles/businesses.
- Bachelors degree
- PMP certification a plus
- Scrum Master a plus
- CCNA , CCNP certification nice to have
Must have an Indefinite Valid US Work Permit

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $109,700 - $203,600.
Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
