Overview
The Senior Informatics Nurse Applications Analyst serves as the technical Nursing Informatics subject matter expert for the nursing clinical applications and will lead incident management processes. Provides technical and clinical system expertise to clinical staff and departments, manages applications and technologies, while supporting the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of Children's Mercy and Information Technology. The Senior Nurse Analyst manages complex projects and programs in the nursing areas they are assigned and assists department leadership with developing applications and new technology strategies. This Senior Nurse Analyst is a liaison to the nursing care delivery teams and develops, implements, and effectively uses clinical technologies. They collaborate to positively impact patient safety and care quality.

Responsibilities
- Application Management.
- Project and Program Management.
- Serves as a Health informatics resource for clinical departments.
- Integrates nursing science, computer science, and information science to improve clinical systems for patient care safety, quality, efficacy, and efficiency; assisting others to do the same.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (BSN) Required and 5-7 years' experience. Clinical experience, health informatics, Information Systems, or Information Technology experience. Project Management experience. OR
- Master's Degree and 3-5 years' experience. Clinical experience, health informatics, Information Systems, or Information Technology experience. Project Management experience.
- One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
- One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
- RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
- At least one application-specific Epic certification relevant to the department (determined by role leadership) Required within 120 days of hire. Must complete Epic certification training if not already Epic certified in the most recent version of the Epic EHR product. Tracked by department leadership. Required
- ANCC Board Certification - Informatics Nursing Preferred
