Summary
SRP (Salt River Project) is seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Power Generation Department. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering engineering services in a technically proficient, safe, and cost-effective manner. This role will involve overseeing electrical engineering tasks at Desert Basin Generating Station and occasionally supporting electrical engineering tasks at Coolidge Generating Station.
What You'll Do
- Conduct engineering design work and engineering studies.
- Act as engineering project manager for on site equipment installations and maintenance task.
- Prepare specifications and evaluate bids.
- Prepare recommendation material for management consideration.
- Administer and review work performed by consultants and contractors.
- Deliver concise written and oral reports and presentations.
- Perform on-site field engineering tasks.
- Conduct engineering analyses to enhance operational efficiency.
- Supervise the system health of all electrical systems within the generating station.
What It Takes To Succeed
- Responsibly manage project budgets and schedules.
- Provide information, answers, and responsible solutions to support the reliable operation of the generating station.
- Represent SRP when contacting customers and outside agencies.
- Write specifications for contract with suppliers of equipment and services.
- Occasionally travel to suppliers facilities, industry organizational functions and SRP facilities.
